Stackables - Layered Textures, Effects, and Masks App Reviews

Well made app, but very inconvenient to use and rather gimmicky. The image adjustment tools (brightness, shadows, etc...) easily rival Snapseed. In fact this tool offers both vibrance and RGB color adjustments, both completely missing from Snapseed. But they are buried deep inside the app, so forget about using this as a convenient image editor. Unlike Snapseed it fails to offer two critical features. It does not allow you to save over existing images. Since Apple introduced lossless editing (original is preserved by IOS) this is a miss. It also does not remember your adjustments for an image (which Snapseed does). This feature is what editing images is all about. Imagine if all your edits in Photoshop and Lightroom were thrown away after you hit save and you could never tweak those same adjustments again. Yes, you can save your adjustments as a formula, but why not just remember? Lastly, I question the artistic benefits of this app. Arbitrarily picking layers of adjustments is a little like holding the shutter button down for 10 minutes while taking photos. Sure you may get one or two winners, but its all down to chance. P.S. What is up with all the birds in the sample photos? Clearly those were added in post, but I couldnt find the bird button. :(

This app just seems to offer tons of filters and little control over how they are applied unless youre willing to pony up $$$ for more control. The user interface is a little clumsy and youll spend way too much time sifting through preset filters, rather than finding a decent one and adjusting it to your needs. Oh, and the subject needs to be right in the middle of the frame due to the way most of the filters are set up.

The app bug now with iPhone 6 and ios 8.1.3 (12B466) and close when I want to registre a picture in library ! Could you correct this bug please.

So I use a lot this application if I want to edit my photos and it does a very good job! I highly recommend this!

Ive seen a lot of people say its a great app, but when I try to use it, its all muddled up. 1. The filters are all mixed up. 2. The tutorial is just showing a person using the app; trying it out on a photo. 3. Its doesnt respond to my touch. It ignores it like it isnt even there. I spent a full hour trying I get it to respond. It didnt TRY to load, just ignored 4. I dont get how you save it it looks like a complicated app. Since the tutorial is useless. 5. I thought the app would be better please fix if you can (iPod 5)

If you could save the files the same size as the originals, that would be awesome!! Its a real piss off when it cuts the file size in half! Snapseed doesnt so why does your app?? Fix that please!!!!!

The amount of control and variation that you can do with this app is unreal. It can be complicated to use but with this I have no need to take my iPhone photos to Photoshop to give them a better filter than what Instagram offers, or any other filter application app does. Nicely integrated with Instagram and other sharing options too.
